Bringing together our major projects at South Georgia’s former whaling stations, the Whaling Station Initiative (WSI) marks the next chapter in our mission to protect and preserve the island’s environment, wildlife and heritage.

Building on our successes so far, including the world-renowned Habitat Restoration Project, which by raising £10m+ and ridding South Georgia of its invasive rodents to save native bird species from extinction, enabled the extraordinary ecological recovery now underway on island.
