Our friends at the Whaling Museum in Sandefjord, Norway (Hvalfangstmuseet Sandefjord) opened a new exhibition space on 27 February 2020.

Several 1950s whaling photos taken by our friend John Alexander are featured in the museum including one transformed into a mural.

One of the new displays will explore the Norwegian whalers influence in Antarctica, and they also show a film with original footage showing Ernest Shackleton’s Endurance under construction in Sandefjord.
