Thank you we have exceeded the 2023 Big Give Green Match Fund target!

Thanks to all your help we have reached and exceeded the SGHT Green Match Fund target as part of the 2023 Big Give campaign.

The campaign has raised more than £20,000 towards Commensalis: The Spirit Tables of South Georgia and the opportunity for donations to be match funded helped us reach the target two days early. Thank you all.

The artwork Commensalis will commemorate the 175,000 whales taken in South Georgia waters during the whaling era, whilst celebrating the current recovery of their populations. It will also raise funds for vital whale research to ensure their future. The monumental work will convey a powerful message of hope at a vital moment in time, inspiring people around the world to protect their natural environment.
