The South Georgia Museum Ex-Whalers Oral History Project was launched in January 2010. The project is a major initiative to document South Georgia’s whaling history through the eyes of the people who worked in the industry on and around the island. By recording and disseminating the reminiscences of South Georgia whaling the Museum will explore the lives of ex-whalers and preserve this remarkable history.
