• An online exhibition on the life of Sir Ernest Shackleton is created during the pandemic, and is displayed at the South Georgia Museum when it reopens in late 2021
• SGHT and FOSGI support research into whale ecology in the Southern Ocean, including the use of acoustics to detect and distinguish right and humpback whale calls at South Georgia and work to estimate the krill consumption of humpback whale and how its availability might affect krill numbers.
• During the pandemic the Trust creates an online programme of talks with the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust (UKAHT).
• In May the Trust partners with the South Georgia Association for a presentation from Marcus Brittain of Cambridge University on the archaeological survey of South Georgia’s sealing history that Marcus led in 2019.
